Opinions
·
What is
your opinion about buying instead of adopting pets?
I
firmly believe that animals shouldn’t be allowed as a way of business, we
shouldn’t be selling others live. If we let this market continue we support a
lot of violent practices that are include, like the forced matings and the
conditions that they keep the animals. Why we should sell animals If we
shouldn’t sell humans.
·
What is
your opinion about cloning?
I’d say that fast fashion is one of the mayor problems we face today on the
clothing industry, it affects by the contamination it produce, not only in the
making, for example with the manufacture of fabric or with the residue of the
industrial process, but also it perpetuate a slavery like work, where third
world people gets pay less than 1% of what people pay for the piece. By
supporting this industry we just help it to subsist. We need to find other ways
to deal with it, buying second hand clothes is always a good way to do so, we
give a use to something that could be in the garbage and boy from people
instead of a corporation.
·
What is
your opinion about recycling?
Following the same idea as before, I feel like recycling should be one
of the main concerns right now, we as society create immense amounts of wastes
and we keep depending in industries that support to that contamination. Almost
all of the objects that we use now on days are disposable, so they have a life
spam radically short, so it become garbage in a matter of seconds. We need to
change our habits and start to give the ambient a break.
·
What is
your opinion about Immigration?
I strongly stand on the non-existence of frontiers, even tho we should
have a register of the people who enters every country we shouldn’t make so
difficult their entry. We need to be more conscience about the reasons of their
migration, especially when we know the crisis that some countries are in, it is
necessary to understand the opportunity that chilean economy means to them,
which become kind of hard when we usually live the down side of it. I feel it
all comes down to empathy and sympathy.
·
What is
your opinion about the legalization of abortion in the 3 cases?
Even tho some people keep missing the point I will always stand on the right of te women (or the person whom carries the fetus) on decided whether she wants to be a mother or if she doesn't. It doesn't matter to me the reasons behind her, women need the liberty tho choose, because we can't be forcing people to become parents if they don't feel ready or if they don't feel like it. The fact that we keep forcing people to be parents has left a lot of damages, like abandoned or threatened kids.
Postgraduate Studies
I still have not thought about my post-graduate studies. Although,
I know that I want to keep learning, even if it is outside the academy or
inside itself.
I would like to explore my
abilities, and for that to happen I need to open up to other ways of learning,
like from different places and people. Thus, I have been always interested in
the option to live in another country, at least for a year so I can get the
opportunity to learn whatever that place has for me because the culture itself
it’s something that I would like to acquire and learn.
Some of my interests include
tattooing, consequently, it is something that I would like to give an
opportunity to work on more and explore new techniques, as the chance to
learn new styles, as well as find my own. And for that to happen I want to go
to other places, meet new people that can influence me and the more important
thing is to have the time to do it.
Even tho I have a lot of
different interest, my studies intrigue me, I may like to continue them but I
am not quite sure if doing it now it’s the best option. I believe that the way
the educational system works here in Chile, and how the whole system it’s
articulated has become it less and less appealing to me. I have been studying
in the same educational system since I was 4, so find other ways to learn feels
liberating.

My future jobs
Usually I don't plan too much a
head. I can’t avoid to get the feeling that it aint worth it, because even if
you make all this plans, things still can find another way to happen, you never
know what would be in the future.
Or maybe it feels this way to me because I avoid plans.
Either way, I haven't thought much about my future jobs, even tho, I
know that I will not need to necessary work in psychology to feel good about it;
because I know I have more than one skill. Because one thing I know for sure it
is that I don’t like, at all, is to work in structured jobs, where you can’t
have an opinion or a say, I would like to have a more a free job. But if I have
to choose, I would prefer to work in my area but in the more flexible way
possible so I could have time for me and my interests, and my independent
proyects.
I’m studying psychology at the
moment, but I had a few jobs in this area, most of the jobs that I had in the
past are the typical college student's jobs. But is not like I don't want to do
nothing on the psychological area, it's just that i don't like the idea of
doing therapy, and the work that I'm interested in are the jobs where you are
usually lock down in an office and that kind of places. And I just think I
could not survive to that.

Team Human
Douglas Rushkoff takes
us in a deep analysis of the repercussions of digital era in humanity and its
own perception of itself, they ways we get to communicate and interpersonal
relations we hold. He presents us the use of social media as the tool it actually
is, juts an immense compilation of data for someone to use. Nevertheless, that
is how big corporations see us, data for them to use, and we fall in this game,
after all we manage to create or use things that take us away from the reality.
Instead of look and enjoy a landscape, or enjoy a concert we take photos or
videotape it, we are not present and this is how they succeed, they rely on our
need for this type of gears. But he jumps to another more important topic, at
least for me, he contrast two ways to look at this reality, of us lost in technology
and in a consume culture, you could either lost all trust in humanity and focus
on saving yourself, insolating from everyone else or you could trust in people,
believe on them and yourself, that we could, on some point, open our eyes and
see what we are doing wrong and do something to reverse it, starting to do good
to other and life in general. Believing that what humans hold in the deeper of us
is love, love for other, life and nature.
I prefer to stay with
the second option, and you?

Psychology
Since I can remember I have been
told that when I grew up I would go to college. So, when I finished high school
I never wondered if I actually wanted to go to college, I just went.
When younger I wanted to study a
lot of things, law, psychiatry, veterinary, etc. I never thought I would end up
studying psychology. I just started to be interested on people, and trying to
understand them, not in a “reading your mind” kind of way, but instead, I
wanted to understand how they got to be the way they are on the present. Now I’m
studying for a whole different reason.
I always wanted to come to
Universidad de Chile, because everyone I knew told me that this was the best university
of Chile and I believed them, now I think different but that’s another story.
Even tho I came here without been sure
or not knowing what I wanted from this career, I don’t regret anything, because
studying psychology has given to me so much and I’m really grateful for that.
the best ans shortes holiday i had
Last year, in may more exactly, I had the chance to buy some tickets on a sale and I just decided in the moment that I would travel to Brasil with two of my closest friends. And so we did. I had the opportunity to make my firts trip to another country and I did.
In september I went on a ten days mini holiday to Brasil, I went with my friends Kathy and Javiera. One of them is a little of a neurotic so she organized the whole trip, wich really work out in my favour since I am way to loose for those things.
We took the time to see as much as we could, we arrived at Río de Janeiro but separated, they came together and I had my first travel alone, that coincidentaly was also my first time taking a plane. We stayed for four days in the city, we went to Copacabana and Ipanema beach as well, during that time.
Other places we met in Río were the Cristo Redentor where we had the chance to see the entire city from de top, we also went to the Botanic Garden and practically walked around the city triying to enjoyed.
Later on we continued the trip and went to Ihla Grande, an island that about 80% of it is a national park, it felt like we were on the jungle and we practically were. We remained there for about 3 days, wich where amazing. We did a 3 hours hike to met the Praia Lopes mendez wich is considered to be one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. We finished our trip by arriving in
Sao Paulo where we stayed for 2 days, and then returned to the sad and pitty Santiago.
It definitely was the best trip I ever had.

Ecuador
Traveling have always been a goal for me, even tho I know it's a luxury I feel it like a must. M ainly because my parents used to do it when they were younger, and when I was little. They taught me that you don't need much for enjoing a trip, just the necessaries and a good attitude to have a unforgettable experience.
There are a lot of places that I would like to explore, most of them share some characteristics and those are the mixture of spaces you have, I love the idea of knowing places where i can have nature and a little of a city life.
Ecuador is one of the countries I'm planning on going soon, even tho there are more places that I'm interested, it's more important to me to have the opportunity to admire America Latina first than other places.
The idea of going to a country where you can get the chance to know the Amazon it just sounds amazing, at least for me.
Although I would love the idea of continue my studies in another country, places like Ecuador are more appealing to me for the large possibility to explore all the kind of landscapes available than the chance of take on my studies, due to this, even tho I want to try the experience of living outside me country, I want to have the chance to enjoy the country.
